To be quite honest, I’m not really sure what to write about. I’ve never blogged anything before. And I don’t really think my tumblr counts as a real blog because I only post pictures of dogs in people clothes. So I guess I’ll just start with the obvious? Sure. Let’s do that.

I wasn’t really sure what to expect in the process. I’ve worked on a few new works over my time here at Drew, so I know it’s quite the process. I haven’t been involved a new work since it’s conception though. So I guess in a way we birthed this play (is that weird? Oh well). Chisa has really taken all of our thoughts and ideas into consideration and has created a really, really cool piece of theatre. The idea of isolation and aloneness I think is something that scares us as a society and the idea of an entire society living in solitude is really so interesting. The fact that none of the characters have face to face interaction until the end of the play is just really wild to me. I’m really excited to see what Rodney is going to do with the ideas in this play and where Chisa takes it!
