The steps to submitting are highlighted on the left. Click on each step to progress to the submission page.
Remember to proofread your play and check your formatting. Formatting tips can be found at the menu bar on the right in the Submission Guidelines section.
Name the play file as per our instructions, below. This is important, as we receive hundreds of submissions.
For example, if you are submitting in the Junior HS Division, your name is Kim Smith, and the name of your play is My Awesome Life, your file should be named
JS Smith My Awesome Life.doc or JS Smith My Awesome Life.pdf
Remember, we prefer .pdf files, but will take scripts submitted as .doc. .docx, or .rtf as well.
Take a quick look at the NJYPP Blog. We will post any new information about deadlines, revised requirements, or technical issues, there.
You can access the Blog and Facebook through the menu bar on the right.
- In addition to information about yourself and your play, we will ask for the following:
- Parent’s phone numbers and e-mail address
- Full names of the co-authors, if any
- Your school address and name of principal.
Please have these available, as it will speed up your application process.
Classroom Teachers and Teaching Artists. If you are entering a group of plays, a field in the form will appear that allows you to list all of the plays in one place. You do not have to enter each play individually. You will also be able to drag and drop all of the files into a single upload. If you prefer to submit a group of plays from a class by paper, please contact Jim Devivo, our Director of Education
