Creative Arts Academy High School Internships
Writers Theatre offers summer internships to interested high school students. Interns will work with the Education Department and Summer Camp staff in a program that will provide candidates with the unique opportunity to enhance their interest and studies in theatre with a practical, hands-on approach to arts education.
Interns will provide administrative support for the Summer Camp & other, year-long educational programming. This may include clerical duties, oversight of Camp arrival and dismissal, technical/crew support for class presentations, and other related activities. Opportunities to assist with Camp classes may be possible, as per candidate interest/experience and Camp need.
Schedules may be determined in consultation with the Education staff based on candidate availability and the needs of the Education Department.
- WTNJ’s Creative Arts Academy Summer Theatre Camp sessions run between June and August; internships will be scheduled for a period of 6-8 weeks within that time frame.
- This is a volunteer position.
- A letter of interest from the candidate explaining why they wish to intern with the Education Department at Writers Theatre.
- A resume or list of theatrical activities.
The Education Department will accept applications for HIGH SCHOOL INTERNS throughout the summer. However, preference will be given to those applications received prior to June 15th.
All applicants must fill out the application form at the bottom of this page. Within the form, you will be asked to upload your resume and the letter of interest specified above. Documents should be attached as PDF files.
